Free QR code generator

Paste any link — your bio link, your shop, a post — and download its QR code as SVG or PNG. It's made in your browser: nothing is uploaded, there's no sign-up, and the code never expires.

No watermark, no tracking redirect: the code holds your link itself.

Your QR code

Filled in with an example: a bio link at oktio.link/yourname. Paste your own link instead.

Before you print

Make a QR code that scans

Keep the quiet zone

The QR standard (ISO/IEC 18004) asks for an empty margin four modules wide around the code. The download includes it — don't crop it away.

Dark on light

A dark code on a lighter background, with a contrast of at least 4.5:1. The generator checks it for you and won't let you download a code that fails.

Shorter link, bigger squares

A shorter link needs fewer modules, so at the same size each square is bigger and easier to scan. A bio link at oktio.link is short.

SVG for print, PNG for screens

SVG stays sharp at any size, from a sticker to a poster. The PNG is up to 1,024 pixels wide, for slides, stories and posts.

Test it first

Scan the downloaded file with two different phones before you print a whole batch.

Count the scans

With utm_source=qr, the analytics of your website or shop show the visits from the code as their own source.

FAQ

Questions about QR codes

Does the QR code expire?

No. The code holds your link itself — there is no redirect through Oktio.app — so it works for as long as the link does.

Can I use it on packaging, flyers or merch?

Yes. The code is yours: no sign-up, no watermark, and commercial use is fine. Download SVG for print and PNG for screens and social posts.

Why can't I make a light code on a dark background?

Many scanner apps can't read an inverted code, and a code with little contrast fails in poor light. So the generator asks for a dark code on a lighter background with a contrast of at least 4.5:1 — the same rule as the QR code of the Oktio.app bio link.

What does utm_source=qr do?

It adds a tag to your link, so the analytics of your website or shop show which visits came from the code. Untick it if the link doesn't lead to a site you measure.

Is my link stored anywhere?

No. The code is made in your browser; the link is not sent to Oktio.app or anyone else.
