Guide · Link in bio

Move your link in bio to Oktio.app in 2 minutes

Paste your page from Linktree, Beacons or any other link-in-bio tool, bring your e-mail subscribers over in a CSV file and point your Instagram bio to the new page. The Oktio.app bio link is free in full.

Step by step

Seven steps to your new bio link

  1. Sign in with Instagram

Open Oktio.app and sign in with your Instagram Business or Creator account. In Bio link, sync your name, photo and short bio from Instagram.

  2. Pick your address and a template

Choose your address, such as oktio.link/yourname (oktio.bio and oktio.me work too), and one of six templates: Midnight, Paper, Aurora, Cover, Bento or Bold. Then pick an accent colour and a button shape.

  3. Paste your old page

In the bio link editor, open the import. On your old page press Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on a Mac), copy, and paste into the box: Oktio.app always finds the links and section titles, and embeds and social icons wherever your copy contains them; anything it could not read is listed, so you can add it yourself. You untick or reorder the blocks before they are added, nothing is saved until you press Save, and Oktio.app never visits your old page itself. Then put the most important link in the Spotlight.

  4. Add what brands look for

Add the stats block to show your numbers, signed when you have an Oktio Verified certificate, and the Work with me block with your media kit and an inquiry form. Inquiries land in your brand CRM.

  5. Publish and test

Switch the page to Published, open it on your phone and tap each link once to make sure it goes where it should.

  6. Change the link in your Instagram bio

In the Instagram app, open your profile, tap Edit profile, then Links, and replace the old address with your new one. Keep the old page online for a few days, so anyone with the old link still finds you.

  7. Share your QR code

Download your page's QR code in the editor, as SVG or PNG and in a colour that stays readable, for posters, packaging and events. It opens your page, and the visit is counted as coming from the QR code.

E-mail list

Your subscribers stay yours

Import your existing subscribers from a CSV file exported from your old tool. You confirm that they agreed to hear from you; Oktio.app skips duplicates and invalid addresses, marks each contact as imported, and you can undo an import.

The e-mail sign-up block on your new page keeps up to 10,000 addresses, imported ones included, with a consent record for each one; export them as a CSV file for your own e-mail tool. Oktio.app never e-mails your subscribers.

For these sign-ups you are the controller and Oktio.app the processor; the processing agreement is part of the Terms.

After the switch

See what your visitors tap

Views and clicks

The Statistics tab shows views, clicks, code copies and the click-through rate for 7, 30 or 90 days, which links are clicked most, and downloads as a CSV file.

Where visitors come from

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google or other websites, plus your visitors' countries and devices — counted without cookies and without storing IP addresses.

UTM tags

Your links can carry utm_source=oktio, so the analytics of your shop or website show the visits came from your bio link.

FAQ

Questions about moving

Does the Oktio.app bio link cost anything?

No. Every template, block and statistic is free on every plan, and so is the e-mail sign-up block.

Which Instagram accounts can I use?

Instagram Business and Creator accounts. A personal account can't be connected, but switching to a professional account is free in the Instagram app.

What happens to my e-mail subscribers?

Bring them with you: export a CSV file from your old tool and import it into the e-mail sign-up block, confirming that they agreed to hear from you. The list holds up to 10,000 addresses, you export it as a CSV file whenever you like, and Oktio.app never e-mails your subscribers.

Do I have to delete my old page?

No. Nothing in Oktio.app depends on it. Once your Instagram bio points to your new page, you decide when to close the old one.
