Oktio.app + Claude

Connect your Instagram analytics to Claude

Oktio.app runs an MCP server. Connect it once and Claude can work with the Instagram data Oktio.app already holds for your account — analytics, posts, audience, media kits and campaign reports — instead of screenshots and copied numbers.

What it is

Your own Instagram data, inside the conversation

MCP — the Model Context Protocol — is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use external tools and data. The Oktio.app MCP server gives Claude a set of tools for your Oktio.app account: when you ask, it looks up your KPIs, posts, audience or reports — and, only if you allow it, makes changes such as creating a campaign report or saving a brand lead.

Claude gets the data your Oktio.app dashboard shows, which Oktio.app reads through the official Instagram API with your consent. It never gets your Instagram password, and it has no tool to publish to Instagram or to read your direct messages. The one message Claude can send itself is a message to a brand in one of your collaborations — only with write access and Oktio Pro, and only after it has shown you the exact text and you have confirmed it. On Instagram, messages go out only from a DM funnel or an auto-reply automation that is switched on, sent by Oktio.app.

What you can ask

Three jobs for a connected account

Copy a prompt, paste it into Claude and adapt it. What Claude can do depends on the data Oktio.app has for your account and on the access you granted.

Understand which content worked

Bring your post metrics into the conversation and use them to plan what to make next.

Compare my posts from the last 30 days by saves per 1,000 people reached. Suggest three follow-up ideas. Tell me which data supports each idea and flag missing metrics.

Oktio Pro · Read access · Recommendations are ideas to test, not a promise of growth.

Prepare your next brand pitch

Give your pitch the context of your audience and content, then keep track of the next conversation.

Read my audience insights and top posts. Draft a pitch for a brand I name, using only the available data. Do not send it. After I confirm, add the brand as a lead with my next step to Oktio.app.

Oktio Pro · Read access for the draft; optional write access to save the brand lead.

Finish a campaign report

Turn the posts from a collaboration into a report you can review and share with the brand.

Show me my recent posts and ask which belong to this campaign. After I confirm the selection, create a report from those posts. Draft a short summary and ask before publishing.

Oktio Pro · Write access · A report captures the available post metrics at creation.

How to connect

Connect Oktio.app to Claude in three steps

Open Oktio.app in Claude

  1. Find Oktio.app in Claude

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, search the directory for Oktio.app and choose Connect.

  2. Sign in and approve access

Claude opens Oktio.app in your browser. Sign in with Instagram and decide what Claude may do: read access is always part of the connection, write access is a separate checkbox, “Manage your account”, that you can leave unticked.

  3. Ask

Back in Claude, start with a question such as “How did my account do in the last 7 days?” — or with one of the prompts above.

Or add it manually

Not using the directory? In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it Oktio.app and paste this connector URL.

Access

What Claude can see, what it can change and what it never touches

Read — always

Your account overview and KPIs, posts with their metrics, Stories, audience demographics, follower growth, comment sentiment, Smart Insights, hashtag analysis, rate card and goals, media kits and their visits, campaign reports, brand leads, auto-reply automations, DM funnels with their steps and the results of the last 30 days, your bio link, your Oktio Verified certificate and your collaborations with brands: the offer, deliverables with their linked posts, the campaign report's state and the latest messages. What a brand wrote comes back marked as untrusted, so Claude treats it as data, never as instructions.

Write — only if you switch it on

Create a campaign report and publish or unpublish it, edit a media kit or protect it with a password, add and update brand leads, set goals, switch an auto-reply automation on or off, build and edit a DM funnel as a draft and switch it on or off, edit your bio link, issue an Oktio Verified certificate, start a data refresh and, in your collaborations, open one as a draft for a brand lead, update a deliverable, link a post to it, build the campaign report and send the brand a message.

Never

Claude has no tool to publish to Instagram, to read your direct messages or send one itself, to change your plan or billing or to delete your account. Your Instagram password is never shared — Oktio.app does not have it either.

Some write actions change pages other people can see: publishing a report, editing a media kit or bio link, issuing a certificate. In a collaboration, the brand sees changed deliverables, linked posts and the campaign report, and a message really reaches the brand: Claude shows you the exact text and sends it only after you confirm. Switching on a DM funnel or an auto-reply automation goes further: from then on, Oktio.app answers people on Instagram on your behalf, with the funnel's messages or by the automation's rules. Ask Claude to show you the change, and the messages, before it makes it.

Disconnect whenever you like: in Oktio.app under Settings → Connected apps — Claude loses access immediately — or by removing the connector in Claude's settings.

FAQ

Questions about Oktio.app in Claude

What do I need to use Oktio.app from Claude?

An Instagram Business or Creator account connected to Oktio.app, and a Claude account. Which Claude plans and apps offer connectors is decided by Anthropic — look under Customize → Connectors in Claude. If you use Claude through an organization, its owner may have to add the connector first. Your Claude account and its subscription are separate from Oktio.app.

Is the connector free?

The Free plan includes a preview: your account overview, KPIs for the last 7 days, your Oktio Verified certificate, listing or pausing auto-reply automations, your DM funnels — viewing them, building and editing drafts and pausing one — and the list of your collaborations. Everything else — posts, audience, Smart Insights, media kits, reports, brand leads, the details of a collaboration, switching an automation or a DM funnel on and the other write tools — needs Oktio Pro.

Can Claude post to Instagram or reply for me?

No. The connector has no tool for publishing to Instagram or for reading direct messages, and Claude never sends an Instagram message itself. With write access it can build a DM funnel as a draft and switch it — or one of your existing comment auto-reply automations — on or off. While one is on, Oktio.app answers people on Instagram on your behalf, with the funnel's messages or by the rules you set up. Switching on needs Oktio Pro; ask Claude to show you the messages first. Outside Instagram there is one message Claude can send: with write access and Oktio Pro, it can post a message to a brand in one of your collaborations. It shows you the exact text first, sends it only after you confirm, and never sends anything just because a brand's text asks for it.

What can Claude change in my account?

Nothing, unless you switch on write access when you connect. With it, Claude can create and publish campaign reports, edit media kits, add and update brand leads, set goals, build and edit DM funnels, switch automations and DM funnels on or off, edit your bio link, issue an Oktio Verified certificate, start a data refresh, and work on your collaborations — open one as a draft, update deliverables, link posts, build the campaign report and, once you confirm the text, message the brand. Without it, the connection is read-only. On the Free plan the only changes are issuing a certificate, building or editing a DM funnel draft, and pausing an automation or a DM funnel.

How do I disconnect Claude?

In Oktio.app, open Settings → Connected apps and choose Disconnect — Claude loses access immediately. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings.

Is my data used to train AI models?

When you connect Claude, it reads the Oktio.app data you authorise under your own Claude account. What happens to it there — including whether conversations may be used to train models — is governed by your agreement and settings with Anthropic, not by Oktio.app. You can disconnect at any time.
